Matthew Maton, the sixth sub-4 high school miler in U.S. history, will not take part in the 2015 adidas Dream Mile. Maton made the announcement today on his Twitter that a nagging Achilles injury that has bothered him since his 3:59.38 mile on May 8th at the Oregon Twilight will prevent him from being ready for the June 13th race in New York City.

With no Maton at the Dream Mile, defending champion and 2-time Foot Locker winner Grant Fisher is the overwhelming favorite to repeat in NYC. Fisher and Maton went 1-2 last year, finishing in 4:02.02 and 4:03.23, respectively.
