Texas A&M’s Donavan Brazier has given us the first shocker of these NCAA Championships.
The stud frosh pulled up shortly after halfway in his 800m prelim, and just like that the fastest man in the NCAA this season is out of the meet. We’re being told that back tightness was the culprit.
Brazier was the SEC champion and had the fastest time in the NCAA this season with his 1:45.93. That time is the indoor American junior record, and the quickest by a collegian since 2001.

Donavan Brazier appears to be holding his lower back as he walks off to locker room. #Bummer #NCAATF
