There were six AAU National Championship records broken today on day three of the AAU Junior Olympic Games. You can check out the full list of records here, but below are some of the biggest highlights from day three of competition in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Race Of The Day: Tamari Davis Breaks 14yo AAU National Record in 100m 11.48
While today was only the prelims for the 100m, Tamari Davis destroyed the old AAU National Championship record. The Florida teen crushed the previous 14-year-old girls 100m record with her time of 11.48 (+1.9). The previous record was held by Alicia Burnett from St. Louis, Missouri at 11.66. Watch for Tamari to run even faster in the semi-finals and finals, and to make an attempt for a record in the 200m dash as well.

Makayla Jackson won the 17-18-year-old long jump for her first national title on Monday. Jackson will be a junior next year and jumped 18 feet 7.25 inches to take the title.
