According to Pace Sports Management, Rupp passed through 10K in 28:08, which would be about 59:30 pace. Ryan Hall's American record is 59:43 from 2007.

Rupp's previous best for half marathon was 60:30, which he ran to place third in the New York City Half Marathon in 2011.
The 31-year-old member of the Nike Oregon Project will return to the Boston Marathon in five weeks, where he was runner-up last year.
