Analysis:

Colorado returns five of the top seven from a team that finished third at last year’s meet. Dani Jones redshirted the outdoor track season, but ran several meets unattached and looks better than ever before, lowering her personal best in the 1500m to 4:07.

Makena Morley has just missed All-American placing twice in her career, but was 11th in the 10,000m at the NCAA Championships in June. Also this spring, Val Constien continued Colorado’s tradition in the steeplechase, placing fifth at nationals.

All total, the Buffaloes have five women in their projected top seven who have finished 43rd or higher at the national championships in their collegiate career. If they all can put it together on the same day, Colorado is assuredly on the podium once again.
