Analysis:
Coming off a top ten finish the Boise State Broncos will look to rebuild after major turnover due to graduation and outgoing transfers. The Broncos lose their #1, #2, #3, #6 sticks from their tenth place team finish last year. As a result, head coach Corey Ihmels will look to a slew of international transfers to replace their out going talent.
Four men from the United Kingdom make their way to Boise this fall. Lewis Jagger, Logan Rees, Nathan Dunn and Jonathan Shields come in with solid track personal bests led by Jagger’s 14:10 5k and Rees’ 29:28 road 10k. The depth of these transfers will help fill out the back half of their roster this fall.
Leading the charge for the Broncos will be upperclassmen Elijah Armstrong (13:58 5K), Miler Haller (29:08 10K) and Ahmed Muhumed (13:57 5K). If these three men improve in 2019 the Broncos will once again be a top-25 team.
