Impact Freshmen/Transfers:

JP Flavin via Dayton (14:08 5K; 28:58 10K; 29th at ’18 NCAA Great Lakes XC)

Will Anderson via Bradley (14:23 5K; 158th at ’18 NCAA XC)

Analysis:

The N.C. State Wolfpack cracks the pre-season top 25 once again after an 11th place finish at last year’s championships. The team will be led by rising junior Ian Shanklin who was 54th last year. Behind Shanklin will be Dayton transfer JP Flavin who has strong track personal bests of 14:08 5k and a 28:58 10k. Look for Shanklin and Flavin to potentially crack the bottom half of the top-40 All-Americans list.

Rounding out the roster will be a trio of juniors Joe Bistritz, Gavin Gaynor and Edwin Rutto. If all three of these men have slight improves in 2019 this team will be a top 20 program this year.
