Analysis:
Head coach Kevin Sullivan’s Michigan men are coming off a top-20 finish at last year’s championships. They return six of their top seven and also add potentially three immediate impact transfers/freshmen to help the Wolverines improve in 2019.
Joining the team in 2019 will be Michigan State transfer Ryan Robinson who had to sit out last season due to transfer rules. Robinson’s best xc performance so far was his 13th place showing at the 2016 Great Lakes Regional. Baylor mid-year transfer Devin Meyrer improved drastically this past spring posting personal bests in the 5k (14:00) and 10k (29:17). Last but not least Michigan brings in hometown kid Nick Foster who had a phenomenal senior year running a 4:03 mile and 8:52 3200.
The addition of these three men along with rising juniors Jack Aho, Jacob Lee, and Isaac Harding will make the Wolverines a formidable contender for another top-20 finish.
