Analysis:
The Minnesota women look poised to continue their impressive streak of qualifying for the NCAA XC Championships in 13 of the past 14 seasons. The Gophers placed 29th last year and should jump into the top 20 this fall.
Twins (and seniors) Bethany and Megan Hasz will lead the fairly young team again this fall. Both seem ready for a big jump in 2019 as Bethany placed 10th in the NCAA 5K final and set a PB of 15:45 this spring, while Megan, a 10K specialist, was the Big Ten runner-up and ran 33:09 while earning her first individual nationals berth. Also of note: Bethany finished 49th at NCAA XC in 2018, just nine spots out of All-American status. Expect the sisters to make a big push for top-40 in Terre Haute.
