University of California Athletic Performance Center Tour

Flotrack got a an inside look at Cal's Student Athlete High Performance Center (SAHPC) courtesy of tour guides Taylor Dutch and Deborah Maier. This facility, which is connected to the university's football stadium, was surrounded by controversy during its construction. In 2008 protesters famously camped high in the trees that were scheduled for removal so the center could be built. Now the facility is open and serves all teams in Cal's athletic department.
