Erin Finn is happy but still hungry as she heads to Nationals, really wanted a team win
After a big day at the Big Ten Championship, Michigan's Erin Finn was a strong pre-race favorite for the Great Lakes title. But after a quick turnaround from last week, Finn said she "wasn't fully prepared" for the Regional Championship. But if one of the three championship races (conference, regionals, and nationals) had to be considered an "off-race," she'd prefer it to be this one. But beyond individual title, Finn's biggest takeaway was the the emphasis on the team. Although she didn't know it at the time of the interview, Michigan did indeed take won the Great Lakes title. While Finn may be alone out front during the race, she has the rest of the Michigan squad to help her along the way. The Wolverines are coming around at just the right time and once again, we may see them do something special at nationals.
