Gary Wilson on retirement and 31 years as Roy Griak meet director
Watch former Minnesota distance coach and Roy Griak meet director Gary Wilson reflect on the past 31 years as the co-founder of the competitive cross country invitational. Wilson is the co-founder along with the late Minnesota head coach Roy Griak who both started the Roy Griak Invitational in 1985. For the past 31 years, Wilson and Griak worked to bring the best racing experience for college and high school-level athletes at Les Bolstad golf course. Wilson may be stepping away as meet director, but he says he will never forget the amazing memories that the meet has given him over the years.
