Aisha Praught wow-ing herself in senior year and first outdoor national after 2012 NCAA West Prelim

Things are clicking Aisha Praught in 2012. At 2012 NCAA Indoors she was runner up in the mile and last night she punched her ticket to Nationals after a runner up finish in the 2nd heat of the ladies steeple. Praught has had moderate success in the past, but talks about how a change in mentality has been key to in her push to the spotlight this 2012 season. She set a 32 second PR this year in the steeple at Mt SAC in 9:51 (#2 ranked in the NCAA). If you forgot, Praught was the surprise at the NCAA Indoor Championships where she finished second in the mile just in front of Jordan Hasay and behind winner Lucy Van Dalen. Before this year Praught's PRs were 4:53 in the mile and 10:23 in the steeple. She still has never broken 9:35 for 3k or 17:00 for 5k, but we will tell you, this girl can race!
