Not only was the 800 Final of the World Junior Championships exciting down to the last meter, but it was also historic. Believe it or not, no US medal had ever been won in the middle-distance events at World Juniors and what happened? The US scored 2 medals in one race! Not only that, but we saw PRs from many of the athletes including winner David Mutinda Mutua of Kenya and runner-up Cas Loxsom of the US.
