Rather than preview the Men's 800m at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Track and Field Championships, we decided to just feature an email exchange between Mitch Kastoff and Chris Chavez.
Below is a the 2014 IAAF Indoor Track and Field World Championships Medal Count. After each day the list will be updated to show every country's medal victory. Medals will also be broken down by number of gold, silver and bronze.
The crew here at Flotrack has spent the last few days hoping to get you ready for the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot. Mitch Kastoff and Chris Chavez have written several race previews, Alex Lohr produced two prediction videos and Isaac Wood is on the ground in Poland.

Historically speaking, picking a winner in the 1500m hasn’t been too much of a struggle. In the very least, we are fairly sure of which national anthem we’ll hear at the medal ceremony. The tough part is usually trying to figure out who else is going to be on those lower level steps on the podium.

Marvin Bracy may win a gold medal at a World Championship. One or two years ago, the sentence may not have made sense. But since deciding to forego his NCAA eligibility and signing a deal with adidas, Bracy’s track and field career has taken off on a world-class level.
Remember that time the United States headed to the World Indoor Championships with the two fastest 800-meter women in the world? That’s right. Ajee’ Wilson and Chanelle Price enter Sopot with targets on their backs as the two are possible medal contenders after running 2:00.34 and 2:00.48, respectively at altitude on Feb. 23.
As we inch our way closer to the opening of the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot Poland, there are probably many of you that are wondering what and where Sopot is, and why is the meet here. I figured while I fight off jet lag, I could explain a little bit about the city that I have spent the last day in. The Nike Oregon Project's Mary Cain has withdrawn from the 2014 IAAF Indoor Track and Field Championships with an injury. Heather Kampf, who finished third at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 23rd in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will be Cain's replacement.
